summer day

A perfect summer day. Another trip to "the river." A different river this time though. The Stanislaus; much colder and faster. So delicious! And it was so fun to be with our dear friends, Mama Churyl and Pierce.

Did you know that Lucia and Pierce are engaged to be married? They have been for quite a while now, but recently they have really ramped up the wedding planning. They worked on the menu and the guest list and discussed possible honeymoon destinations in the car, and then they practiced the ceremony riverside. Alma-Lu was the flower girl, naturally. They even practiced "the kiss" (on their hands)!
