out and about

It rained all morning yesterday, so we stayed in until the sun finally came out in the afternoon. Then the princesses and I headed out on the town. On our way to the bus stop, we stopped into an open house for a duplex that we pass everyday on the way to school. For weeks we watched it being painted and remodeled and said "hola" to the workers every morning. A few weeks ago the remodel was complete, at which point the girls begged Pete and I to pleeeeeease buy one of the apartments. They're only a million dollars each. 3 bedrooms, 2 baths. Anyway, we were excited to check it out, especially staged so beautifully. When we went to check out the roof deck, look at what we saw! The most amazing rainbow that stretched out over the entire city. Magical!

Then, down at Union Square, the girls wanted to watch the ice skaters for hours. It was fun. But they were disappointed, as was I, by the fake tree. It's just not as festive as the real thing. Who knows, with this being San Francisco, there's probably some PC or environmentally-friendly reason for it, but still...
