Gout be damned! We were not going to wait in line for hours and hours to take the elevator. We climbed to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower. Weewee was on my back in the ergo. Pete had his cane. Luci bounded up the stairs. It was beautiful up there! We stayed for hours, I think. Then we walked through the Champs des Mars and through the streets of Paris, more than 2 miles, all the way back to our neighborhood where we finally sat down for dinner at a sidewalk cafe at about 10pm, just as it was getting dark. Can you believe how amazing our kids are to be able to do that?! (Weewee was on my back, of course, but still.) Can you imagine how good our dinner tasted? And my beer!? This was a great day.
